What is chiropractic?
Chiropractic combines elements of the mind, body and spirit to shape a holistic, total person approach to healing.
The brain and nervous system control, coordinate and run the body. Starting from the top, your brain rests in the skull, which extends through a large opening at the base of the skull. The spinal cord then travels down through your spinal column, 32 spinal nerves branch off from that spinal cord and pass between the bones of your spine. These spinal nerves then travel to every muscle, organ, tissue, gland, and cell in your body.
Since the brain and nervous system run each and every muscle, organ, tissue, gland and cell in your body, optimal communication is vital. Chiropractic adjustments guide the spine to flow unconstrained communication between the brain and body.
When misaligned, spinal bones put pressure on nerve roots and irritate the nerves. Most commonly, subluxations interfere with nerve transmissions from the brain to the body and back to the brain again. When there is interference between your brain and body, your performance and health suffer.
Dr. Ryan realigns the spine to harmonize communication and guide the nerves so that patients live their lives at optimal functionality. Dr. Ryan detects and corrects spinal subluxations to keep your brain communicating smoothly with every muscle, organ, tissue, gland, and cell in your body for improved health, function and performance.
Daily postures like sitting at a computer, sleeping on an old mattress, and sitting for extended periods cause spinal misalignments that result in back pain. Keep your body performing at its optimal level—free from nerve interference—with regular chiropractic adjustments. Everyone can benefit from living life free from nerve interference. Not only should you get adjusted regularly, but so should your spouse, your brothers, your sisters, your kids, your parents, your friends…you get the idea.
